Pinkus Miller 

Hello, I’m Naeun. Nowadays, Christmas is coming and it makes my heart flutter. Recently, I visited Munster to participate in Munster Christmas market, by the way I found out the popular Schweins Haxen restaurant which is famous to German people. 

The name of the restaurant is ‘Pinkus Miller’.

Because opening time was 12pm, we arrived at 12:40pm. However, there were already so many people and reservation seats in Pinkus Miller that we could barely sit down. 

It was the moment that I realized the popularity of Pinkus Miller. 

Before showing lovely Schweins Haxen, I’m going to introduce about what is Schweins Haxen to you briefly. Schweins Haxen is the Pigs’ Feet that many German people usually enjoy eating.

Unlike original Schweins Haxen which has specialized for crispy skin, Pinkus Miller’s Schweins Haxen is made of a boiled pork. So, I could feel softer and deeper meatiness.

Moreover, Pinkus Miller’s side dish was really fantastic. The first side dish was German traditional food ‘Sauerkraut’, which is salted away cabbage. It was in harmony with Schwein Haxen that some people can feel greasy, because it was salted away properly. The other one was ‘Schupfnudeln’, which means potato noodles. It is the fried potato after mixing the flour and mashed potatoes. Even though you don’t eat Schupfnudeln, it is the German people’s formula to try it with any combination of other potatoes cooking. Personally, I was deeply impressive about potato soup and mashed potato with cheese. 

Staffs’ service of Pinkus Miller was also good. They are kind and nice. It went without saying that the foods were delicious. I was very satisfied with Pinkus Miller’s food and service. 

But, it’s a little shame that Schwein Haxen was a little oily. In fact, I have ever tried Schwein Haxen before in Munchen and Praha, but in my taste, I prefer Schwein Haxen of roasted version to a boiled version in Pinkus Miller.

Anyway my conclusion is I was really satisfied with the taste and service of Pinkus Miller J
